INSURANCE ON THE GO

EXCESS HOSPITAL & MEDICAL EXPENSE
If you are a Canadian resident planning a trip outside your province or territory, you would be wise to purchase one of our Excess Hospital and Medical plans which offer $2 million Sum Insured in excess of your government health plan for:

  • emergency hospitalization
  • emergency medical treatment including local air, land or sea ambulance (including mountain or sea evacuation) service to the nearest hospital, necessary lab tests, X-rays, prescription drugs, the rental of crutches, wheelchairs and braces.
  • out-of-pocket allowance
  • family transport expense
  • return of family member
  • return of vehicle or watercraft
  • return of deceased body
  • accidental dental
  • dental emergencies
  • air ambulance back to Canada (when approved by T.I.C. Agencies Ltd.)
  • escort of insured children

AIR FLIGHT ACCIDENT
In the event of an airline accident or if you are boarding or alighting from an aircraft and incur accidental death, disablement or disappearance, and amount of up to $200,000 or $500,000 is payable depending on the option selected. Any flight arranged and ticketed in Canada prior to departure may be covered. Underwritten by Lloyd's of London.

ACCIDENTAL DEATH & DISABLEMENT
To help defray rehabilitation and other expenses, this insurance will pay up to the sum insured of $25,000, $100,000 or $250,000 for accidental loss of life, limb, or sight at any time during your trip depending on the option selected. Up to 50% is payable as a result of single dismemberment, or loss of sight in one eye.

BAGGAGE
Provides up to $1,000 coverage in the event theft or damage results in the loss of your baggage, personal belongings, and currency. Each item, or group of selected items, is covered up to $300 with a $50 deductible per claim.

TRIP INTERRUPTION
Pays up to $800, $1,500 or $2,000 toward the cost of one-way transportation home in the event unexpected sickness, injury or death of you (or your immediate family member, business partner, key employee or travelling companion), disaster involving your principal residence, or hospitalization of the person caring for your dependants necessitate an early or delayed return.
